Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
